Transitions: The Process When a Child Ages out of Early Intervention

Description

This training will be conducted by an Early Intervention CPS Transition Liaison about the following points:

1. The steps required to transition a child out of EI to preschool and CPS if further services are recommended.

2. The parental rights during transitions.

3. Possible placement options for a child who can receive services through ECSE by the IEP team

4. Describe the Least Restrictive Environment, its' benefits, determining factors, etc.

5. LRE versus Inclusion and mainstreaming
