This strand will explore Toni Linder’s transdisciplinary play-based assessment as a tool for evaluating areas of development for early childhood stduents and children. Developmental areas to be explored include visual and fine motor, gross motor, cognitive skills, and communication. Participants will be provided with Toni Linder’s developmental age ranges, video examples of play-based evaluations, and opportunities to practice assessing preschool-aged children. Strategies for incorporating play-based assessment into the classroom/therapy will also be discussed.
