Main Objective: Parent a child with special needs has unique challenges. It can remind you of riding a teeter-totter. When you're on the up side, you feel emotionally high, connected and in control of schedules, work life, to-do's and family. On the "down" side, you feel exhausted and drained, with getting through the day as your only goal. In this workshop, Karen will lead us through a series of techniques to:
Reduce your overwhelm
Understand your triggers and detour behaviors
Become aware of your own patterns
Ground yourself when making decisions
Allow mindfulness and self-care
Support yourself and your child in new ways
