WS 208. Making Educationally-Relevant Decisions for Safe Mealtime Participation: A Framework for Decisions and Collaboration

Description

Using the Maryland Steering Committee Guide for “Safe and Successful Mealtime Practices”, the participants will learn about a comprehensive decision-making process to assist with IFSP/IEP development, collaboration, training and applying the OT Practice Framework and intervention approaches

Learning Objective One: Increase awareness of the principles related to safe and successful mealtime experiences for children in early intervention and school based settings

Learning Objective Two: Provide a process for IFSP/IEP team decision making as it relates to early intervention/educational relevance for safe and successful mealtime participation as it applies to each local school system, the public agency and natural learning environment

Learning Objective Three: Apply the OT Practice Framework through case scenarios to demonstrate a process for assessment to a plan of care and IFSP/IEP development
