Building Bridges: The Transition Process from Early Intervention to Early Childhood

This training was developed to train staff and parents on the state and federal requirements for the transitioning from Early Intervention (EI) to Early Childhood Special Education Services (ECSE). This training assists EI and school district personnel in meeting the obligations of IDEA by providing a smooth and effective transition for children and their family from EI to school district services. Topics such as evaluation and eligibility, transition meeting and responsibilities, interagency transition agreements, timelines, best practice recommendations and new state forms will be discussed.
