This training will highlight HIPAA and how it pertains to technology. Technology and how it interfaces with day to day operations in Early Intervention will be the focus--the usage of cell phones, faxes, and computers. The electronic storage and exchange of medical information within these types of communication and the safeguards that must be in place to to protect the client's personal health information will be discussed. Listed and defined will be administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. All of this information should be and will become part of the agency's protocol in guarding PHI.
