Using IPADs in Early Intervention

Description

We will look at ways of using the iPad to enhance developmental, speech, occupational and physical therapy, particularly for children ages 18 months to 36 months. This presentation will discuss using the iPad to foster communication success and ways to practice gross and fine motor skills. The use of the iPad as a powerful motivator will be examined. Participants will discuss strategies to consider in order to functionally incorporate apps in therapy, without allowing them to become a distraction. Guided access and helpful accessories will also be discussed.
