Combining Play Therapy and ABA for Children on the Spectrum

Description

Autism Family Center utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to help children on the autism spectrum cope with emotional and behavioral issues. Director of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Leighna Fischer, and Play Therapist, Taryn Schacherer, have worked together to design a program that helps complex children cope with the multifaceted stressors life often presents. While Taryn's play emphasizes emotional development and expression, Leighna's ABA targets behavioral modification methods. In this webinar we will see examples of how the two therapies can be used together for a well rounded approach to treatment.
