Description |
This interactive and fun training will focus on participants engaging families through the Early Intervention philosophy utilizing discussion as well as TV clips of EI sessions in action. Recognizing the differences of the medical model and transitioning to the developmental model can be challenging for all providers and families. Participants will explore the benefit of the developmental model in in-home and early intervention situations so children experience the greatest benefit of provider's expertise by them aiding children through their parents. Participants will also learn how to effectively address the three child outcomes in IFSP meetings keeping the child and family in mind.
