The Orofacial Examination: Variations in structures

Description

This presentation was designed to examine the oral facial structures of the pediatric population. The lecture will review characteristics that are unusual but not necessarily abnormal as well as anomalies that affect feeding, speech and resonance.


Learning Outcomes:

The participant will:
- Recognize normal verses abnormal orofacial structures.
- Learn what anomalies effect feeding, speech and resonance.
- Know when to refer to a specialist when anomaly is identified.
- Discuss various treatment options for feeding, speech and resonance.
