Therapies to Practice: From the University to Your Living Room

Description

The focus of the conference is to network and inform families, early intervention team members, agencies, professionals, faculty and early intervention candidates who work or hope to work in the field of early intervention services to provide supports in the community and the families they serve. A celebration of family facilitated supports, this one day conference brings families and professionals together to showcase resources that the community has to offer, examine evidence-based practices and to promote networking opportunities for both families and future professionals in the field of early interventions. An internationally known researcher, Dr. Tom Buggey, Chair of Excellence, Univ. of Tennessee-Chattanooga, Center for Child and Family Studies, Siskin Children’s Institute will be the keynote speaker and share the latest evidence-based practice Video Self-Modeling: Why Does it Work and How Can I Use it?”. The $25.00 fee includes a box lunch. In addition to applying for IL professional development credit, participants can take advantage of one hour of graduate workshop credit from Lindenwood University. To complete the extra clock hours for the Lindenwood credit only, candidates would submit a reflection paper describing how they integrated the conference strategies into their practice.
