Challenging Family Situations in Early Intervention

Description

Service Coordination requires a diverse range of skills and abilities. Some situations, however, present their own unique set of challenges in supporting children and families in early intervention. This two hour workshop is designed to help SCs better understand some of these challenging family situations and gain the skills needed to address when the family's needs are just as significant and complex as the child's. Topics include: severe financial or marital stress, addition, homelessness, parents with chronic medical conditions, child with life threatening illness, and parents with untreated mental illness.
