Description |
Dr. Larry Desch will explain the implications of two different diagnoses which both carry with them significant / extreme challenges for management of the child, and providing appropriate support to a family.
With a diagnosis of GM1 Gangliosidosis, a child is considered terminally ill and there is continual degeneration of functioning, creating a dramatically sad and challenging daily care environment for the family. Care considerations, medical and developmental interventions will be discussed.
Crouzan Syndrome causes a multiple array of developing challenges which include but are not limited to cranial, neurologic, and opthamological disorders, and may require multiple surgical and developmental interventions.
