Autism and Deafness: Sensory and Behavior Implications for the Classroomand Early Intervention Settings

Description

This presentation will focus on individuals with a dual impairment of autism and deafness with an emphasis on sensory and behavioral strategies for the classroom and home environments. Participants will be introduced to sensory processing as it relates to an individual’s ability to participate fully within the educational system from birth to 12 years. Common behavioral challenges and strategies will also be discussed. This will be an interactive, multi-modal presentation with real-life examples.
