Adverse Childhood Experiences Study

Description

What are they? Does it matter when they occur? What is the impact on a child’s physical health and development of speech, cognition, physical abilities and social-emotional progression and overall well-being? And, could it possibly even affect us as adults???

The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study gathered 17,000 participants between 1995-1997 with research articles continuing to show the impact of ACE on participants’ development, adult lives and health. Join us in discussing the study, some of the outcomes, and most importantly how these results can meaningfully be applied to your work with children and families.
