Creating a Community Action Plan for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse

Description

Every child deserves to live free from abuse. However, estimates indicate that one in 10 children in the United States will be sexually abused. Each year, ChicagoCAC responds to approximately 2,000 reports of child sexual abuse in the city alone. Since opening in 2001, we have served more than 30,000 children. Child sexual abuse is a serious public health issue. How do we, as a community, prevent it?

Join us for a two-day training developed and led by the National Criminal Justice Training Center, with support from ChicagoCAC. Together, we will take part in creating a Community Action Plan for prevention of sexual abuse.

Registration deadline is March 11, 2016.

*You must attend both days in order to receive any IL EI Training. Partial credit is not provided.
