| Description |
This is an informational session for parents or professionals new to the area of Sensory Integration. Session will open with a lecture covering definitions of Sensory Integration and Sensory Processing, our eight senses (5 plus vestibular, proprioceptive, and enteroception), and red flags for sensory integration disorder. This will be followed by ample time for questions and discussion based on concerns of attendees. Resources for further information will be provided. Sample items commonly used in sensory diets and sensory therapy will be displayed for exploration and discussion.
