Feeding/Swallowing Issues in Birth to Three Population

Description

This workshop is designed for service coordinators and beginning level therapists for assisting them in working with children with feeding/swallowing issues. This workshop provides an introductory working knowledge of the normal process of swallowing and feeding development in young children. It provides a brief overview of the causes of feeding/swallowing issues, process of evaluation, and team of professionals involved in feeding management. The workshop also addresses the cultural and family factors that play important role in the success of therapy and parental compliance with therapy strategies and dietary restrictions.
