Knowing when to talk to families about a social work/mental health evaluation is not always a clear process. Families may have many needs that could be supported by social work/mental health, but don’t know are available to them. Other times families may decline services or express some bias about what social work/mental health services does. Getting families services to support their parenting ad understanding their child's behaviors and interactions can make a tremendous difference. This seminar will be an opportunity to learn more about what to look for when suggesting a social work evaluation and how to approach families about the recommendation
