Social Emotional Learning in the Preschool Years

Description

This interactive workshop will focus on how carefully planned environments and attuned caregiving together support the social and emotional learning of young children, birth to five years. Participants will discuss temperament and self-regulation in young children, and learn about caregiving strategies and environmental characteristics that promote emotion recognition, emotional self-regulation, behavioral self-regulation and cognitive self-regulation. The session will include media presentation, group discussion, and hands-on interaction.
