Determining eligibility as well as determining a family's needs it not always as "straight forward" as scoring numbers on an evaluation. In early intervention, we use our professional skills of clinical observation, interview, family history and many other factors in an effort to identify a child and family's needs.
This workshop will be an interactive discussion during which we will use case examples both presented by workshop leader and offered by participants, to create a narrative for a family who may be referred to the EI system for service.
We will actively discuss how to unravel the presented "picture" and create a program of services to best fit that family's needs, which goes beyond sole consideration of evaluation numbers whether they are below or above the eligibility determination designation.
