Sensory Interventions for Exceptional Children

Description

This workshop provides a basic overview of sensory systems in relation to how the central nervous system receives and responds to stimuli. Sensory systems will be broken down into specific areas with treatment interventions regarding integration and processing. Examples of treatment activities to implement during therapy which are effective in promoting positive sensory development will be provided. Intervention strategies for specific children symptoms of sensory issues will be explored. This workshop includes practical interventions and strategies to improve function in the birth to three population.
