Assessment Process for Children 0-3 with Hearing Loss

Description

This is an "in house" training for CFC#15 service coordinators. Michelle Morrison, the Executive Director of The Sertoma Speech and Hearing Center, will present information regarding the physical structure and function of the ear; causes and symptoms of hearing loss; typical hearing and speech behavior for children age 0-3 years; the referral and assessment process used by Sertoma for children in EI; and the different types of screening tools as well as the basics of reading an audiogram.
