1. Identify goals for therapeutic intervention in the Neonate
2. Identify differences in service delivery: medical versus developmental model of care
3. Describe challenges families experience with their transition from the intervention team in the NICU to home and early intervention services
4. Identify medical conditions that automatically qualify a preterm infant for early intervention services and describe the process of referral
5. Identify the role of the family and the therapist in early intervention: The family drives the service plan in early intervention while the neonatologists and neonatal therapists drive the intervention plan in the NICU
6. Identify strategies that enhance a family's understanding of Early Intervention Principles
