NOVA chat Intro & Explore to Know More

Description

This course will review and explore the hardware, software and settings of the various vocabulary files that are available on the NOVA chat devices. Participants will understand vocabulary options and learn very basic programming related to typical customizing to get started. Participants will be provided with “hands-on” time to learn and customize vocabulary files and adjust settings to meet the needs of a client between 18 months of age - adolescence. This course will help professionals and parents who work with clients/children to better understand vocabulary files, settings, and implementation. Implementation tips and ideas will be shared. By better understanding the vocabulary files, participants will be more equipped to select the most appropriate vocabulary files for a client using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
