Using and Modifying Games for Learning with Young Children

Description

Therapists will review Piaget’s levels of to ensure they are choosing age and skill appropriate games. We will also explore Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle to fully understand the process of how children learn during games. The social interactions that occur during the game will also be explored. Different games will be available for the therapists to try and use throughout the workshop. Strategies for modifying games to simplify the game or increase the demands will be explored and practiced.
