Ethical competency is not just about doing “what’s right” but is about critical thinking and how and what leads one to a particular decision. Participants will explore ethical decision models, professional ethical standards, personal bias, values and obstacles for ethical decisions. The diverse framesworks of Eastern perspectives, military culture, aspects central to culture, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, privilege, age, status, etc. will be examined. Case studies and interactive discussion and engaging activities will complement the information. This program satisfies the IDFPR 3 hour ethics requirement for SW and Psychologists as well as the 3 hour cultural competency requirement for SW.
