Pediatric Pelvic Floor and Constipation
1) To understand the development of the pelvic floor muscles during infancy through gross motor skill acquisition.
2) To learn why infants and children develop constipation and learn what medical strategies are used to alleviating the constipation.
3) To learn PT interventions (exercises and massage) to help alleviate constipation.
4) To understand how proper positioning in standers, on the toilet and chairs can help toddlers with special needs with elimination.
