Description |
Occupational therapy practitioners offer distinct value in the early identification of autism due to expertise in typical development and developmental differences. In this presentation, participants will understand the occupational therapist’s role in the early identification of autism, demonstrate administering, scoring and interpreting evidence-based autism-specific screening instruments and demonstrate effective communication strategies when interacting with culturally and linguistically diverse families.
