Clinicians will discuss a research article by Kathleen Corriveau, Katelyn Kurkul, and Sudha Arunachalam that was published in the Journal of Child Development in 2016. The article, titled “Preschoolers’ Preference for Syntactic Complexity Varies by Socioeconomic Status” examines SES status as a moderator for children’s sensitivity to syntactic complexity when choosing from whom to learn.
