Description |
Caregivers play a crucial role in a child’s healing after disclosing sexual abuse. A supportive response to non-offending caregivers after a child’s disclosure of abuse can help reduce stress and isolation of caregivers, increasing their ability to be available for their child’s healing. The goal of this training is to educate professionals on common reactions caregivers have after learning about their child’s sexual abuse and ways community professionals can support non-offending caregivers.
