PROMPT: Bridging Technique to Intervention

Description

This workshop is the second level of PROMPT training and will cover a brief review of technique, and help the clinician more thoroughly understand and apply Parameter, Syllable, Complex and Surface prompting with different motor systems and conditions. A major focus of the workshop is understanding planes of movement (vertical, horizontal, anterior-posterior) and how these apply to lexicon development and word choices. Clinicians will be guided through the development of holistic intervention plans that entail selecting goals, writing objectives and developing activities. These would include all domains and motor phoneme selections and working to develop plans that empower parents or caregivers to utilize these goals in naturalistic environments.
