Description |
This course presented on an article by McDaniel and colleagues (2018). The article, “A meta-analysis of the association between vocalizations and expressive language in children with autism spectrum disorder,” evaluated current research describing the relationship between number and complexity of vocalizations and later expressive language abilities. This information supports targeting prelinguistic vocalizations in therapy for children with ASD.
