Environmental Health and Child Development

Description

This workshop will focus on the impact of the environment in early childhood development. The presentation will include discussion on the environment as both a physical and social construct, and topics will include common hazardous environmental exposures (ex: lead), effects of different physical variations on development, and the effects of environmental "toxic" stress on development. Strategies for optimizing the home environment will be brainstormed throughout the session.
