Description

This workshop will review the evidence base for oral motor practices in infants and toddlers and the use of adaptive oral motor equipment to treat feeding/swallowing impairments in children 0-3. The purpose, benefits and disadvantages of common therapeutic products will be reviewed. Case studies will be reviewed in order to reflect on alternative or appropriate recommendations that were provided to patients.
