The 3rd Hour - When The Labels Do, or Don't, Fit.

Description

Please note this is the "3rd hour" which is being offered as an optional continuation of the same day training which is being held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
On this day, June 21, 2018 - we will be conducting this training / workshop which is on the topic of seeking, receiving, and the processes regarding getting a diagnosis.
This 3rd hour is meant for those who are attending the same day training from 12:00pm to 2:00pm but are able and interested in staying a longer period of time to be able to participate in a more in depth discussion of the topic.
In early intervention....providers are often seeing families at what may be only the beginning of a long journey. There are times when a definitive diagnosis is not possible, and there are times when one diagnostic category doesn't quite 'fit.' There are times when a diagnosis will change/evolve as a child grows/develops. People are complex beings, and early intervention services may be 'only the beginning' for many families, and being able to provide families the appropriate and objective support which will help them build a foundation on which to move forward is a sophisticated skill that can be of much value.
