Understanding ACES: Why the Body Doesn't Forget

Have you heard of the landmark ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences Study? Do you want to learn more about ACES? Join the McLean County Child Abuse Prevention Coalition to learn more! This training will introduce the ACES study that was conducted in the late 90s. This training will also explore how brain development is impacted by exposure to adverse experiences in childhood and the lifelong impacts that can have on a child. This training will also explore how professionals and community members can buffer the impact of adverse experiences by building resilience at an individual and community level.
