Description

This course provides early intervention professionals real-world sensory strategies for infants and toddlers. Participants will learn to create a comprehensive and valuable treatment plan to help parents feel hopeful and empowered in helping their child with developmental skills important for everyday life. Through real-life case studies following initial assessments and therapeutic interventions, therapists will learn to implement an effective treatment plan. Practical sensory solutions for infants and toddlers will address each sensory system using evidence-based studies. The instructor will specify sensory processing patterns of neurotypical infants and toddlers and symptoms of sensory modulation disorder in this population. Each sensory system is highlighted with useful sensory strategies targeting the three subtypes of sensory modulation disorder; sensory over responsivity, sensory under responsivity, and sensory seeking/craving. Therapists will gain practical solutions for caretakers as well for a strong continuum of care.
