Almost Home Kids - Share the Care

Almost Home Kids provides transitional care in a home like setting for children with complicated health needs, as well as training for their families and respite care. Dr. Smith explained the journey families experience in the transitional care program, and how they are supported and prepared for their child's transition home. The training and support they receive increases the success of that transition immensely. Dr. Smith also discussed how EI eligible children receive their therapeutic services while at Almost Home Kids, and reviewed the team members available to children while at Almost Home Kids.
