Real Experiences from the Medical Diagnostic Clinic: A variety of perspectives

Description

This workshop will focus on fostering the knowledge about a medical diagnostic from a variety of perspectives, including a developmental pediatrician, diagnostic team member, Early Intervention therapists, and parents who have participated in the process. The workshop will provide an opportunity for professionals and parents to share their experiences in an informative and friendly environment. Questions and small group discussions will be encouraged at the end of the workshop. This is a beginning level workshop designed to assist families in understanding the process of a medical diagnostic. Providers will gain skills so that they can assist families during this challenging and possibly scary experience.
