Description |
The focus of this two hour training is to strengthen Service Coordinators understanding of billing in Early Intervention. Presenters will review family fee, plan types and benefit verifications to clarify the basics of how insurance and fees effect the family’s time in a program. Special circumstances like exemptions, waivers, health savings accounts and reimbursement will described to make sure service coordinators become more familiar with the required paperwork and timelines that are service coordinators are not presented with all the time. Most importantly, facilitated discussion will provide service coordinators with talking points and advice for families navigating insurance benefits for a child with special needs for the first time via Early Intervention.
