2018 ILOTA Conference Short Course: Supporting Child and Family Engagement in Outpatient Pediatrics Using the Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)

Description

The session will provide an in-depth overview of the application of the Intentional Relationship Model (IRM) for supporting a strong therapeutic relationship with children and families served in outpatient pediatrics. Current research findings related to therapeutic use of self in outpatient pediatrics will be presented. Evidence-based strategies for supporting the interpersonal reasoning process and client engagement during challenging interpersonal situations will be presented.
