This short course will define sensory modulation and emotional regulation and review the current understanding of the neurological basis for sensory processing. Behaviors related to sensory modulation or emotional regulation will be explored. Evidence related to the evaluation and treatment of the impact of challenges with sensory modulation and emotional regulation on infants/toddlers' ability to participate in their daily occupations will be reviewed.
