Supporting Attachment in Infancy and Early Childhood

Description

Understanding and supporting attachment in the infancy and early childhood period is one of the most crucial aspects of biological, developmental, social emotional and neurological of the young child. Although not commonly understood until the 1960's attachment and the early relationships and caregiving of the young child sets the stage for their functioning throughout life. In this seminar, Dr. Miller will describe the attachment process and experience and share valuable research about how providers and professionals in early childhood can promote healthy attachment and nurturing relationships for the parent-child relationship.
