Illinois Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing 60th Annual Conference: Navigating the Enhancements of the EHDI Program and Addressing Language Outcome

Description

This presentation offers a comprehensive overview of the expanded focus of the Early Hearing Detection & Intervention (EHDI) program. The EHDI program is excited to engage stakeholders in learning about their role over the next 5 years as the program grows. Participants will be equipped to explain the three primary EHDI program goals for the next 5 years, emphasizing health equity, language outcomes, education outreach modules and tools that can be adapted into daily practice. Additionally, attendees will be able to differentiate the four core elements of the Blueprint for Change that are shaping change nationally for children and youth with special needs. The session also provides tools for immediate use to articulate and share EHDI best practices while supporting the well-being of children and families.
