Service Coordination for Families with DCFS and EI Involvement

Service Coordinators will have the opportunity to view a presentation by Angela Jackson from DCFS entitled Demystifying DCFS. They will then have time to reflect on how this information will better inform their practice when working with a family involved with DCFS and Early Intervention. They will look at the recent changes in legislation and how this impacts entry into the Early Intervention system for children with DCFS involvement as well as how services are determined. Service Coordinators will have time to reflect on cases that are or have been on their caseload with an opportunity to process how the work with the child and family was impacted by this dual involvement.
