De-escalation: Tricks and Techniques to Restoring Calm

Description

Service coordinators are invited to talk through challenging conversations with Dr. Bridget Makol. We will think about recent interactions that have been emotion filled and have quickly escalated. We will examine our own responses, including physiological. We will discuss the brains response to stress and what may be behind a challenging interaction. Lastly we will think about what strategies are most likely to help restore calm and regulation.
