Understanding a Child's Behavior: Tools for Therapists

Description This workshop takes a look at the possible precipitating reasons for a child's behavior. It will explore five reasons for problematic behavior: means of communication and expression, means of attention, means of control and power, repetitive behavior, means of sensory simulation. The workshop will discuss how properly assessing behavior leads to interventions that work. This workshop is an overview for practitioners interested in making effective behavioral interventions.
