Assessment, Intervention, and Advocacy in Child Physical Abuse

Description

This training will assist providers help parents to understand infant crying in order to prevent abuse. Participants will identify the red flags for pediatric injuries due to physical abuse. Training will cover how to take accurate histories of concerning injuries/presentations without making assumptions and how to intervene when concerned. Participants will understand three psychodynamic factors that contribute to child physical abuse.
