Discrete Trial (Part 1 and 2)

Description This presentation discusses Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial (DTF) in teaching children across the Autism Spectrum. DTF is highly structured and builds upon a child's strengths. Discrete Trial may be used to teach social/play skills, receptive and expressive language, self-help skills, and academics.
Part 2 reinforces the information presented in Part 1 by having participants practice using Discrete Trial to teach important skills. Participants will learn to develop goals for a variety of different activities, such as games, life skills, chores, verbal scripting and choice making.

This workshop is in 2 parts. Participants must attend both parts to receive credit. Part 1 is on 2/7/12 from 2:30-5:00 and Part 2 is on 2/9/12 from 2:30-5:00.
